Contract Award – Kinross Road Development Gravity Sewer Main Upgrades
We are thrilled to announce that Quickway has been appointed by Redland City Council as the Principal Contractor for Kinross Road Development, Gravity Sewer Main Upgrades.
As Quickway establish a base in Southeast Queensland, this project is our first as principal contractor in the state, with a new client that we are excited to work closely and collaboratively with, whilst demonstrating our capabilities and company values.
The project involves the delivery of essential sewer service upgrades to support the ongoing and future Kinross Road development estate stages, which is contributing to new housing as the Redland City population grows.Work will include:
- The installation of 1.2 kilometres of gravity sewer pipelines DN700 & DN300 using trenchless and open trench methods
- The installation of 19 maintenance shafts, up to 5m deep
- Various associated live sewer works cut-overs, and bypassing works
- Decommissioning of redundant pump stations once new pipeline is live
Once complete, the South Street Gravity Sewer upgrades will provide future network capacity to support ongoing population growth in Southeast Queensland.
