Project Update – Project Milestone Unlocked at Wilton!
In July 2025, Quickway proudly secured Package 3 of the Wilton Integrated Servicing Project, and we’ve been powering ahead ever since!
We’re delivering:
- 7 km of Wastewater Pressure Main from the new SP1233 Facility to Wilton WRRF
- 2km potable water pipeline
- 2km recycled water pipeline
- Deep Gravity Sewer Network between an existing IOP Facility and the new Wastewater Pumping Station (Constructed via micro-tunnelling)
- Services crossing under the Hume Highway, including, sewer, potable and recycled water mains via Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
- Construction and commissioning of the new SPS1233 pumping station facility (including Mechanical, Electrical Odour Control and Surge Vessel installation)
This quarter, we hit the ground running and achieved the following:
- Removal of nearly 5000 m³ of hard sandstone
- Completion of 90% of the bulk earthworks
- Installation of 90% of pipelines, including three HDD bores under the Hume Highway working closely with our Subcontractor South Eastern Excavations.
- In the process of completing the gravity sewer micro tunnel
Tough ground conditions which comprised of hard sandstone pushed us to think outside the box and revise excavation methodology, achieving planned levels while reducing working-at-heights exposure and deep excavation risks. Safety and smart thinking go hand in hand. Our strong performance was acknowledged by the Delivery Partner as we were awarded the Wilton Excellence Award for the month of October. The award was issued for the seamless delivery of the 3 No. HDD crossings across the Hume Highway.
Stay tuned as we continue building excellence at Wilton!
