Key Challenges/Highlights:
- Design: Worked with TfNSW to redesign road crossings from open trenching to bores to eliminate intrusive and high risk nightwork.
- Design: Optimisation of traffic staging and barriers to maximise daytime working and safety to the public and workers.
- Environment: No incidents, incl. works adjacent to George’s River.
- Traffic: Extremely high CPR performance throughout the project.
- Quality: Quickway and TfNSW are using Quickway’s iTWOcx platform, which has been excellent.
- Safety: 786 personnel inducted to site, with 7 Safe Work inspection, and no NCR’s or significant incidents to date.
- Stakeholder Management: Extensive bi-monthly coordination with Bankstown Airport (BAL), Aria Management Group (incl. Aldi, KFC, BP, Hungry Jacks), Canterbury-Bankstown Council, residents, etc.
- Program: Utilities works have been completed ahead of schedule, with roadworks progressing well and overall project within program.
- Collaboration: Great working relationship with TfNSW at all levels.
