We are proud to announce that Roads and Maritime Services has awarded Quickway the contract to deliver a new bridge across the main western rail line on Chifley Road at Clarence. This forms part of the $95 million Great Western Highway and Bells Line of Road upgrade, and is Quickway’s second project with RMS.

Minister for Regional Transport and Roads and Member for Bathurst Paul Toole MP made the announcement, stating:

“… The new bridge on Chifley Road (will) improve safety for all road users and also improve regional access. The new bridge will have wider lanes, road shoulders and improved safety barriers. Construction is being carried out in line with pre-planned rail shutdowns to limit disruption for motorists and rail users. It is due to be completed in 2020 and once open to traffic, the existing bridge will be removed.”

We look forward to the challenges of the project, and to working collaboratively with RMS and Sydney Trains in delivering this project successfully.
