Safety Award of the Quarter – Suliasi Liutai
Safety Award of the Quarter for October – December 2021 has been awarded to Suliasi Liutai for being the considerate thoughtful samaritan all of us would want by our side, in a time of need. Whilst working for Cyient (Telstra 5G) at Mt. Moombil, at a remote location, Suli and another worker came across a vehicle, which had rolled down an embankment and was on its roof. Without hesitation, Suli stopped and rendered assistance to the driver, who, very fortunately, remained unscathed. The man was in shock and Suli assumed control of the situation by arranging a recovery vehicle to come from the nearest town and stayed with the man, offering food and water, until help arrived and the situation had been resolved. The following day the man sought out Suli to thank him once again for the time and help provided. We are extremely proud of Suli’s actions, not only as the top bloke he clearly is but also for highlighting to the public, how much we value our Safety Culture.
